Crane load pins
JF Strainstall’s crane load pins can be incorporated easily and economically into cranes by replacing any existing load bearing pins.
All JF Strainstall load pins are manufactured from high tensile stainless steel and are environmentally sealed. We can also supply a complete crane weighing/overload system with the addition of a display/indicator.
Our standard range of load pins vary in capacity from 5 to 1,000 tonnes, however most load pins are manufactured to meet each customer's specific dimensional requirements.
Our load pins can be fitted into bottom blocks, lifting sheaves, compensating beams, under barrel bearings and many other locations depending on crane layout.

Industrial load pins
JF Strainstall's industrial load pins perform in conditions of extreme temperature, abrasive dust, moisture and vibration.
Designed to withstand harsh environments and resistant to the effects of metal fatigue, our industrial load pins hold up against repeated cyclic loads. Easily incorporated into the load path they are a simple replacement to existing load bearing pins. Capacities available range from 5 to 1,000 tonnes and are usually manufactured to meet customers' specific dimensional requirements.

Marine load pins
JF Strainstall's marine load pins are designed to withstand harsh marine and subsea conditions.
Our marine load pins are sealed against water ingress to IP67 standards or better and our subsea load pins can also be fitted with wet mateable connectors and pressure tested to suit different depths. Easily incorporated into the load path they can replace any existing load bearing pins in components such as shackles, winches and chain stoppers.
We offer a range of load pins with capacities varying from 5 to more than 1,000 tonnes, and are also able to meet customers' specific dimensional requirements.

Rail points load pins
JF Strainstall’s rail points load pins have been specially developed through our unique experience in producing high-quality load pins to measure the operating forces of mechanical systems.
Rail points load pins allow maintenance teams to take preventative action by providing advanced warning of points failure. They measure clamping forces enabling correct setting of the point mechanism and are supplied with built-in amplifiers to give a 4-20mA output.
As with all our load cell products, the rail points load pins can be used with JF Strainstall's range of instrumentation packages.

Super yacht load pins
Achieve the most efficient sail position and optimal speed with JF Strainstall's super yacht load pins.
Our super yacht YP100 load pins range has been specifically designed for yacht applications. Incorporated easily and economically within sheaves or dead-ends they effectively measure the load/forces on the main sail allowing informed decisions to be made.
Sealed against water ingress to IP67 standards or better, they vary in capacity from 500 kgs to over 40 tonnes and are usually supplied with a 4-20mA integrated amplifier.
We manufacture our load pins to suit customers' specific dimensional requirements, integrating the load pin outputs into a vessel's main navigational controls or supplying a stand alone system with a display.

JF Strainstall-bondura load pins
The revolutionary JF Strainstall-bondura® load pin eliminates play and ovality during operation, simultaneously providing intelligence and wireless capabilities.
While a certain amount of tolerance is required during the installation and extraction of a load pin, this often leads to issues during operation as it allows the pin to move during its lifetime cycle as a result of heavy loads and vibrations.
This movement causes ovality, which though repairable, is costly and often results in operational down time.
The JF Strainstall-bondura® is designed to overcome such wear and tear. Innovative cone sleeves, with corresponding tapering, expand on the pin upon tightening with an agreed torque value, securely fixing the load pin while still allowing for the required tolerance for installation and extraction.
The JF Strainstall-bondura® load pin eliminates play during operation, while still providing an accurate means of load monitoring.
