James Fisher Strainstall signs collaborative agreement with L. Straatman BV
Following a strategic review last year, Strainstall UK Ltd announced that it had made the decision to cease the development of its Quick Release Hook (QRH) systems and exit the marketplace.
As part of the company’s commitment to maintain customer service, James Fisher Strainstall (JF Strainstall) has now formed a collaborative agreement with Straatman BV – a leading supplier of quick release hooks – to deliver ongoing support and solutions for its legacy QRH products and systems.
Drawing on its deep operational understanding of mooring equipment, Straatman BV provides a responsive source of technical support for JF Strainstall’s QRH customer base. The mooring specialist’s expert team will be on-hand to offer a range of solutions, including repairs, system enhancement, servicing, software development, part replacement, and sales advice. With its international network, the company covers all geographic areas, which enables it to swiftly answer enquiries from QRH customers across the world.
Commenting on the announcement, Jonathan Simpson Tarling, Managing Director at JF Strainstall, said:
“This collaboration is an excellent value creation opportunity for both the business and for our legacy customers in the global Quick Release Hooks marketplace as we leave the QRH market. Through this strategic alliance, Straatman BV will be well positioned to answer the mooring requirements of all QRH customers by providing first-class support for their critical operations with our support in the background when required.”
Gertjan Strietman, Owner and Managing Director of Straatman BV, said:
“Here at Straatman we are delighted to be working with JF Strainstall and their legacy QRH customers. With more than 50 years of experience in products for the maritime industry, Straatman is an established and well-known manufacturer and supplier of mooring, berthing and dredging equipment. Working with JF Strainstall to service their legacy clients is a natural fit for us and we look forward to building new relationships around the world."
