James Fisher Strainstall provides innovative monitoring and control solutions for the global offshore oil and gas industry.
Supporting customers operating in hostile offshore environments, James Fisher Strainstall (JF Strainstall) delivers simple solutions to complex requirements for monitoring the demands placed on structures in the offshore industry. Our systems help maintain asset integrity and provide operators with confidence during challenging operations.
JF Strainstall designs and manufactures monitoring systems for, FPSOs, tension leg platforms (TLPs), Semi-submersible platforms and other offshore structures. Monitoring load, stress, structural dynamics, metocean conditions and other parameters helps maintain operational safety and can help to improve efficiency. Our installed systems also play an integral part in the formulation of efficient platform management and inspection and maintenance plans.
All sensors and monitoring systems have been designed to ensure safe operation when it matters, and have been operating on some of the highest profile structures, and harshest environments. Our equipment is manufactured to operate in hazardous area environments - up to Zone 0 (ATEX and IECEx), and we have approvals from all major classification societies, including the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), DNV GL, Lloyd's Register Marine (LRS) and Bureau Veritas (BV).
